The Musicians and Board of the Sierra Nevada Winds wish to extend a sincere Thank You to all who supported us during the Big Day of Giving! We were slightly short of of our $3000 goal, but are so grateful for the donations we received. Thank you for helping us to continue our mission of presenting high quality performances for the community as well as enhancing music education and live music experiences for school-aged children.

Spring Concert

A note from our conductor, Dr. Robert Halseth:

Congratulations to all 47 members of the Sierra Nevada Winds for playing a sensational concert at Lincoln High School in Lincoln last night. What a pleasure being your conductor! Composers JC Heed, Amilcare Ponchielli, David Holsinger, Robert Russell Bennett, Sergei Prokofiev, Rudy Wiedoeft, Frank Ticheli, Eric Whitacre and Freddie Mercury would all be glad to know their music was prepared so well, played with such care and love, and heard by such an appreciative crowd. Thanks to Lincoln HS band director David Hill for hosting the concert, and to everyone who attended. If you missed it, click here for the recording.
