The Sierra Nevada Winds present

Music to lift, calm, captivate and renew your spirit

The award-winning Sierra Nevada Winds, conducted by Dr. Robert Halseth, will perform two concerts this spring. The programs include the delightful Suite of Old American Dances by Robert Russell Bennett and Bohemian Rhapsody by Freddie Mercury, arranged by Philip Spark. The group will also play the technically brilliant Blue Shades by Frank Ticheli featuring principal clarinetist David Coe playing the jazzy solo, which, according to the composer, is a tribute to Benny Goodman. Principal saxophonist Paul Trethewey will get our toes tapping with his lively ragtime solo in Saxophobia by Rudy Wiedoeft.
