Spring Concert and Live Feed

The Sierra Nevada Winds Orchestra closed out its 28th season at Sierra College, featuring John Mackey’s monumental work, “Wine Dark Sea.” The Winds would like to give special thanks to Marj Sanchez, David Dickson, and The Sierra College Friends of the Library for their continued partnership in making the spring concerts possible. Thanks also to Greg McLaughlin and the Sierra College Music Department, and Thor Tivol and the Dietrich Theatre production staff for use of equipment and technical expertise. We give grateful thanks to our conductor, Robert Halseth for believing in us and professionally leading us through the difficulties and triumphs of Odysseus’ journey home.  Lastly, we would like to thank our loyal fans and patrons – many of whom have been with us since the beginning. Our organization is able to thrive due to your tremendous generosity and support.

For those unable to attend the concert, or if you would like to re-live the experience, the live stream feed is available for replay on YouTube. The music begins around the 26 minute mark. Click here. Recordings of the concert may be found on our Recordings & Programs page. Thanks again, and we hope to see all of you next year.
