Join the Sierra Nevada Winds, directed by Dr. Robert Halseth, as it opens its 24th season of live musical performances!

Sousa’s “Hands Across the Sea” is an apt signature piece for this program which includes music written by popular European, Mexican and American composers. Julie Giroux’s hauntingly beautiful “Fantasy in French,” Malcolm Arnold’s entertaining “Four Scottish Dances,” and Arturo Márquez’ dynamically rhythmic “Danzón No. 2” are featured. Norman Dello Joio’s “Fantasies on a Theme by Haydn,” Ronald Lo Presti’s “Elegy for a Young American,” and Samuel Barber’s “Sure on this Shining Night” round out the program.

Tickets, available at the door, are $10 for general admission and $7 for seniors and students.
