The Sierra Nevada Winds Orchestra, conducted by William “Bill” Hill, presents a program of contemporary and classical wind ensemble music Saturday, April 17, 7:30 pm at Dietrich Theatre, Sierra College, 5000 Rocklin Blvd., Rocklin.

Enjoy music by the world’s finest wind ensemble composers. Highlights include: Laurie Piner, soloist on Bulla’s “Rhapsody for Flute;” Dr. Robert Halseth, guest conductor for “Symphonic Songs for Band” by Robert Russell Bennett; and Henry Hansen, featured on E-flat clarinet in “Yiddish Dances” by Adam Gorb.

The Friends of the Sierra College Library sponsor the concert. Donations of novels and popular non-fiction books in good condition will be gratefully accepted the evening of the concert. Proceeds from their sale will provide for the purchase of equipment and books for the Sierra College Library.
